Excuse my delay in sharing this post, but I had too many yummy photos to choose from and...was too lazy to photoshop. I know, bad excuse.
After reading foodiefixation's review, I was quite anticipating my first visit to this (fairly) new restaurant (almost) directly across the street from my daily grind. And though I was more excited to see them make mochi (someone invite me for 8pm dinner!), I was just as content with my lunch outing. Mon amie de la France est venu visiter, et je ne l'ai pas vu depuis longtemps! J'ai été heureux de la revoir. ^^
She introduced me to this cute little dish (pictured right) that they apparently also have in Taiwan - Chawan Mushi ("tea cup steam") - egg custard steamed with chicken, shrimp, and vegetables in broth. It was a great balance against my Tsukune Ground Chicken Skewers (salty goodness!!) and Roasted Mochi (chewy, salty goodness!!). I had to include a picture of the seared tuna salad that B ordered (even though I didn't eat it), because 1- it looks good, and 2- it is good (so A & B both say).
Even though it was a lunch outing, we couldn't pass up on dessert! I was reeeally (really, really) hoping for the Taiyaki ice cream, BUT apparently Japan didn't send them enough taiyaki T_T Instead, we each settled for our own Ann-mitsu. You can see all the YUMMY ingredients in the appetizing photo below :)
