In anticipation of E returning from her trip to London/Paris, this week's posts are dedicated to the delightful Macaron, simultaneously chewy, crunchy, and melts-in-your-mouth. These are pictures of our second stab at homemade macarons. Don't be fooled by the simplicity of the recipe. To get that perfectly circular shape, the perfectly smooth top, and the perfectly crusty bottom is much trickier than anticipated. A trickiness that, quite obviously, remains unmastered. These cookies are expensive for a reason.
